Visiting from Overseas

Time in rural England, personally arranged.

A visit to Norfolk and Suffolk can be part of a longer journey through England or a few unhurried days in its own right. Simon can bring together the countryside experiences, accommodation and transport for this part of your journey.

Getting here

Norfolk and Suffolk lie in the east of England. London can be a useful starting point, with rail connections to Norwich and other local stations. The most suitable airport, station and arrival point will depend on where you are travelling from and the places you plan to visit.

Simon can bring accommodation, arrival transfers and travel between experiences into one considered itinerary, so you have a clear plan for reaching each host and place to stay. Discuss your journey before booking travel; routes, transport and availability are confirmed as part of the arrangements.

Somewhere to settle in

From a cottage beside the Broads to a country house hotel, accommodation can be incorporated into your itinerary according to the character of the visit. Phloxhaven and Holly Cottage in Reedham are two possibilities, alongside other places to stay in Norfolk and Suffolk.

Let us know whether you prefer an independent base, somewhere with dining on hand, or accommodation that suits a wider journey through England.

For sporting visitors

Suitable guides and hosts are selected for the activity, your experience and the season. Where appropriate, local equipment or rifle arrangements can be explored with the host in advance.

Availability and any permissions, documentation or other requirements must be confirmed for the particular activity and visitor. Please discuss these arrangements before making travel plans or bringing equipment.

For partners and different interests

A shared visit need not mean doing the same thing all day. Partners and non shooting guests might enjoy wildlife, sailing on the Broads, fishing, walking, gardens, local food or time with a countryside host.

Separate activities can be followed by a shared lunch or dinner. A visit can also focus entirely on wildlife, food, walking and time on the water.

A few days, shaped around you

There is no fixed programme. Tell Simon where you will be travelling from, who is joining you, your approximate dates and what draws you to the countryside. Accommodation, transport and hosted experiences can then be considered together.

Begin with a conversation.

Tell Simon what you have in mind for your time in England.
